When Calvin Klein, at the time most famous for underwear and jeans, released the pioneering unisex fragrance CK One back in 1994, nobody could anticipate the global success it would achieve. Klein broke down boundaries by developing one scent that could be used for both men and women, rather than individual scents for each sex, and the ploy worked wonders. CK One was phenomenally successful, becoming the bestselling fashion brand fragrance of the 90s, and continues to shift millions of units worldwide every year.

In 2011, CK returned to the One premise, but this time surprisingly chose to release different scents for men and women under the new name of CK One Shock.
