In 2011, CK returned to the One premise, but this time surprisingly chose to release different scents for men and women under the new name of CK One Shock. We’ve got both in stock now at Fragrance Mad. CK One Shock for Men is a spicy oriental fragrance, with notes of cucumber, clementine, and lavender at its top; a heart of pepper, basil, osmanthus, and cardamom; and base notes of tobacco, amber, patchouli, and musk. I sprayed some in an airport a while back and my girlfriend went mad. She’s sadly since been sectioned, but now we’ve got it in stock I’m still going to pick up a bottle. CK One Shock for Women is an oriental floral perfume, made up of top notes of poppy, pink peony, and passion flower; heart notes of jasmine, chocolate, narcissus, and blackberry; and finishes with a base of vanilla, amber, patchouli, and creamy musk. Both scents are available now at Fragrance Mad, priced at £22.59 for a 50ml bottle.

On to the facts based on truth, Guilty for Women is made up of sultry notes of pink pepper and mandarin orange at the top of the scent; it then moves into a heart of lilac, peach, and geranium; and finishes with base notes of amber and patchouli, resulting in an overall scent that is soft, breezy, and delicious. In stock now at Fragrance Mad we have the 50ml EDT at £42.79 and the 75ml EDT at £56.99.

Guilty for Men, on the other hand, packs a more citrusy punch, opening with notes of lemon and fresh lavender; continuing to a heart of orange flower; and ending with a base of cedar and patchouli. Gucci Guilty Pour Homme is available at Fragrance Mad in a 50ml EDT, priced at £39.99, or the larger 90ml which costs £47.99.

Gucci have a long history of producing fantastic fragrances that elevate their wearers a notch above the rest. These two are no exception, and at Fragrance Mad’s prices there’s certainly nothing to feel Guilty about, especially with the added protection from muggers that the bat-sign provides you. It’s more a question of personal safety than smelling great.

I’m looking forward to seeing the scent for men aimed at those who sit around and relax; to me it seems a bit of a strange marketing ploy to aim your scent at a demographic that doesn’t exist! Anyway, Just Different contains fresh notes of mint and Granny Smith apple at its top; a heart of basil and freesia; and finishes with a base of fir and cashmeran. So, if you’re the kind of guy who lives every second as if it’s his last and aims for the stars in everything you do, Just Different is the scent for you! Or maybe you’ll just judge it on its fresh, spicy notes, and reason that your personality porbably has nothing to do with whether you’ll like it or not…
