• Congratulations to Worcester Warriors

Worcester Warriors will be strutting their stuff in the Rugby Union Premiership from next season, after a hard-fought 20-15 win over Cornish Pirates on Wednesday saw them seal a return to the top flight after just a year in the lower division. Just as Fragrance Mad does to its woeful competitors, Worcester destroyed all-comers this year, going through the regular season with 21 wins from 22 games, and winning all nine of their playoff matches. The team reportedly took their inspiration from the Fragrance Mad logo emblazoned on their sleeves, and tearfully dedicated their promotion to our range of fantastic fragrances at spectacular prices.

Next year will see the Warriors taking on big teams such as Bath and Leicester, as well as playing the big boys in Europe, so here’s hoping the Fragrance Mad stand at their Sixways Stadium (see below) will inspire them to further glories.

  • Worcester Warriors Saunter into Play-Off Finals

Worcester Warriors, the Rugby Union side for whom we at Fragrance Mad are the main sponsor, are one (two-legged) step away from a return to the big time amongst the big boys of the Aviva Premiership. Worcester made it through to the final after a heart-stopping 79th minute conversion from fly half Joe Carlisle gave them a thrilling 23-22 win over Bedford Blues at Sixways Stadium on Sunday. For the final, Worcester travel down to Cornwall to take on those dastardly seadogs the Cornish Pirates on the 11th of May, before the Pirates sail up for a second leg showdown on May the 18th to see which of the sides will be playing top-flight rugby next season. We have a three year deal as Worcester’s sponsor so let’s hope they’re victorious! Check out the picture below for a taste of the moment in which the winning points were scored, if you can concentrate on the rugby with that glorious Fragrance Mad banner hogging the background, that is.

We are pleased to announce that Fragrance Mad will continue to be the main shirt sponsor for the Aston Villa Old Stars football team into the 2010/11 season. The team was established in 1960, making it the first Old Boys team in the world, and now plays around twenty-five fundraising matches per season, during which they have so far raised over £4 million for various charities. The strip has been graced by many greats of Villa’s past, including members of the 1982 European Cup-winning side, and today players include such names as Dean Saunders, Tony Morley, and Stan Collymore.

Neil Rioch, chairman of the Aston Villa Former Players Association, said: “We are delighted to have such a prestigious company as FragranceMad.com as sponsors of the team and I know many Aston Villa former players and their partners and families have already been online to take advantage of the excellent range of discounted products that are available”.
